Field Trip Special

After an incredible season that was heavily dominated by the American Girls franchise, we knew that we needed to take a trip to one of their national stores. Luckily, our library system is located just a short car ride away from the Tysons Corner location.

If you’re in the area, we highly recommend a visit. The store was an interactive experience and we (and our dolls) had a great time. But if you’re not local, please enjoy these photos we took while you listen to the episode. It’ll be like you’re there with us!

Do these dolls have their own podcast?
Doll holders in the bathroom so you don’t have to hold, ahem, the bathroom.
Feast your eyes upon the incredible Melody section.
Why are these carrying cases shaped like coffins?

And finally, the comparison of the Kwanzaa outfits.

American Girl of Today outfit, released in 1996 and retired in 1999
Truly Me outfit, released in 2021
